Rogues live by their own rules, and answer only to themselves. Living on the underside of society, they act as brawn for those who want things done with out questions.
These are best thought of as being thieves with more muscle and less wits. Think of them this way, give them no chances and watch your purse whilst having dealings with them and you should get by all right, so long as you don’t cross them… They cannot wear armour heavier than ring-mail. Rumors are abound that Rogues are routinely scouted for the infamous Thieves Guild where they can be taught more of the sneaky git skills…. How this happens is a mystery.

# Unarmed Combat Mastery – Player does +1 damage with their hand to hand combat attacks and they may now cause Lethal damage with their hands.

# Scroll Use – The player can use scrolls up to the 3rd level of magic. This does not actually allow them to “Read Magic” as a skill, more that they have been around magic users long enough to be able to blag it. WARNING! Sometimes they don’t always get it right which can change the effects of the scroll somewhat plus any mages who know of a rogue with skill will be watching them even more carefully than before.

# Immobilise – The player may call “Immobilise” which entitles them to restrain their target by touching them with both (empty) hands and hold them (by wrapping arms around opponent) this prevents the target from moving their arms to attack the player – other attack methods are still viable (pre-requisite – requires Strength). Creature or monsters with exceptional strength will be able to break out of the hold.


# Bear Hug – “Immobilised” targets may now be crushed for 1 Life Point every 10 seconds.

# Detect Pick Pockets – You automatically detect any attempt to pick your pockets by someone of equal or lower rank than you.

# Detect Traps - Once you declare you are using this ability you can now find Traps of equal or lower rank. You can move no faster than a slow walking pace and you must act out the searching. If you come within range of a trap the referee will notify you. Only natural and mechanical traps can be found. Magical traps are beyond your skills.

# Disarm Traps – You can now disarm any traps of equal or lower than your rank. Sensible Rogues will have a Trap Kit on them for such situations…otherwise they will need to improvise.

# Pick Pockets – You may now call “Time Freeze” and pick someone’s pocket. Each rank of Pick Pocket allows you 10 seconds to steal whatever you wish from you target as along as the following rules are adhered to:

1: Once in time freeze you may not move from where you are standing, only things within arms reach can be stolen.
2: Anything can be stolen but bear in mind that certain objects are rather hard to hide…i.e. Two-handed Swords and such.
3: “Time In” will be called whether or not the player has stolen anything once the time is up. This can lead to certain incriminating situations to say the least. A countdown of the last 10 seconds will be called by the referee, after that…
4: Players may Pick Pocket as many times as they have skill ranks per encounter.
5: Pick Pockets can not be used on anyone in combat…though there are rumors of people in the thieves’ guild who are able to do it

Pick Locks – You may now pick non magical locks of equal or lower rank. You are considered to own 1 lock pick which can not be found short of a full body search or magical means. Loss or destruction of the lock pick will require buying a new one.
